Fire-fighters tackle Bonnybridge workshop blaze
More than 50 fire-fighters tackled a huge fire on Broomhill Road during the night.
Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service control received a call at 11.32pm on Thursday, January 5 and crews from Bo'ness, Falkirk, Larbert, Stirling and Denny were sent to the scene at the joiner’s workshop.
At the height of the fire, sevn appliances, the aerial ladder platform, the water carrier and command unit were all in attendance and the road was also closed.
Incident Commander Gordon Pryde said: "This was a large fire and as a result there has been significant damage to the building.
"Due to the fire loading at the premise, our firefighters had to work extremely hard to prevent the fire from spreading.
"We will now be working with the police to establish the cause of the fire."
Although the incident has been scaled down, two appliances remain at the scene this morning with crews carrying out damping down work at the building.
