Bonnybridge Gala Day

Does anyone remember the Bonnybridge Gala Days.  Brilliant.  I remember being brought to Jenny's Park in a lorry back from Highbonnybridge Primary School.  That would be in 1960/61. We used to get a wee white poke with a sandwich and biscuit or something in it and then the wee quarter pint of milk!  Then we'd have races - what great fun it was!  Real community with all the works etc in the are putting on a float with flowers and a theme.  They stopped for a while, then they came back.  Anyone remember the Welstood float with the Teddy Bears head on the front of the lorry and the teddy bears picnic theme?
